The Opportunity
The job holder will be responsible for developing the overall
sales strategy to achieve the projected revenue and growth plans of the
company. S/He will coordinate, motivate and provide leadership for the sales
team to generate leads, build client relationships, set targets to hit or
exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs, in line with the
company vision and values. The role will also develop plans and strategies to
expand the customer base and contribute to training and skills development for
clients and the sales team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ø Manage and achieve the agreed
revenue target.
Ø Prepare sales plans and secure
orders for the Company’s products, solutions, and services to achieve the
annual sales and income target as assigned
Ø Expand the company’s clients
while creating more revenue streams.
Ø Promote and sell the Company’s
products as assigned, while maintaining service standards
Ø Develop new customer and
businesses, coordinate or provide technical support including samples for
testing, and do follow-up work from sample to commercialization.
Ø Develop and maintain strong,
long-lasting business relationships with clients across significant IOCs,
independent producers and service companies in the oil and gas industry, and
other relevant FMCGs.
Ø Identify new business
opportunities for various chemicals to meet revenue targets.
Ø Liaise with customers and
cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of
company products and solutions according to customers’ needs.
Ø Identify opportunities to grow
new businesses with existing clients.
Ø Serve as the lead point of
contact to coordinate the resolution of service incidents and escalation of
technical issues.
Ø Manage multiple clients
concurrently, often meeting deadlines and fulfilling service promises.
Ø Project necessary inventory
level for each product/business situation by ensuring efficiency, reliability,
and optimized inventory level.
Ø Understand the growing trends
in the sector and advise as necessary.
Ø Prepare annual sales & profit
forecast and provide projections as required
Ø Liaise and work with the
Marketing unit to develop and promote the Company’s products & services.
Ø Carry out market research, competitor
analysis, and customer surveys, and advise management on competitive
opportunities.
Managerial Responsibilities
Ø Reporting to the CEO.
Ø Weekly/Monthly performance review and
daily sales activities report.
Ø Mentoring individuals
supporting the Sales team.
Ø Develop performance objectives and
carry out performance reviews of staff.
Ø Maintain excellent
relationships with key decision makers at C-levels across major IOCs,
independent producers, and service companies in the oil and gas industry and
other relevant FMCGs.
What We Expect
Ø · An excellent academic qualification
in any discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Ø · Minimum of 15 years of sales &
business development experience in
Ø chemical/technical sales within oil
& gas and industrial sectors.
Ø . Demonstrated and documented ability
to meet and exceed targets are a deal-breaker.
Ø · Enthused & excellent sales professional.
Ø · Good Computing Skills.
Ø · Use of MS Office tools and relevant sales management applications/CRM.
Ø · Good listener and able to deal with confidential matters.
Ø · Well-organized and able to lead sales and marketing teams.
