                  NLP DATA SCIENTIST- JOB NEEDED IN POSTAG-PORT

Ag-Port is looking for a high-performing mid to Senior-level Data Scientist to support delivering complex data reporting and data insights to customers leveraging statistical frameworks, data modeling tools, and NLP machine learning.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Data Collection and Retrieval

Collects, processes, and performs statistical data analysis.

Develops and edits queries and integrates data from multiple sources to create dashboards, data generators, and other end-user reports.

Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports, and other end-user information portals or resources.

Generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts.

May create specifications for reports based on business requests.

Contributes to white papers, presentations, and conferences as needed.

Statistical Techniques and Modeling

Uses statistical techniques to manage and analyze large volumes of complex data to generate compelling insights to include predictive modelling, storytelling, visualization, and machine learning.

Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.

Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

What We Want You to Have

Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, physics, etc. or equivalent work experience

3-5 years modelling and statistics experience in operations analytics and consumer segmentation

3-5 years of experience with data analysis in Python, R, SQL, Spark, or similar

Comfortable asking questions and performing in-depth research when given vague or incomplete specifications

Confidence to learn new and advance analytics methods on own initiative via research, online training resources, and developer forums

Experience with Azure Ecosystem, Databricks, Databricks SQL Analytics is a plus

Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦500,000.00 per month
